The move has been delayed for some variation of practical reasons. Ana will start off though with the apartment and the plan is to join her later on. Ana is looking to get a place of her own for a while now and I guess she will start off just fine. I will try to go to BCN as much as possible in meantime. I’ll be off for the biggest festival in Belgium in a couple of days and later I’ll be off  for a Company event in the south of Spain.  The calender is filling up

The decision is made a couple of days ago : halfway July (let’s say in one month) I’m moving to Barcelona to join Ana there.  It toke me some time to assure myself that this was the right choice. Actually I knew it from the beginning that I would join Ana wherever she needed to go for her job, but once the decision actually needs to be made, things like friends, joblocation, local bars etc.. started to jump in and needed some consideration. At the end life will change and I’m very comfortable in Madrid.

But doing some good thinking made it clearer and clearer what I knew all the time : being away from Ana is harder to deal with, you don’t lose friends because the distance gets bigger, and there are local bars in Barcelona as well. So, halfway July I’m off to live on the Spanish city on the beach… really looking forward to this.

Ana found us a nice flat to live in, with a terras and  2 bedrooms, 20 minutes from the center, no tourist area and 23minutes from the beach, although the beach of Barcelona doesn’t really attract me, it’s good to know that the sea is there ! Ana always told me that the people from Valencia, hardly go to the beach although they live next to it, knowing that the sea is there is fair enough.

I will put a calendar next to my fridge, I do expect a new wave of friends coming over, at the end, they all have seen Madrid by know, Barcelone is yet to come.

But, before moving to BCN, there’s a pile of work to do and a decent amount of events to attent, more of that in a next session.
